850730 2010-01-22 02:13:00 Problem with "Microsoft Security Essentials provides" in a cooperate environment, I don't think it can be managed like NAV and others, meaning you cant have a anti virus server. Battleneter2 (9361)
850731 2010-01-22 02:19:00 We dont have a antivirus managed by a server and dont run a domain, very simple setup
Thanks for help

850732 2010-01-22 02:23:00 Hell I sure wouldn't. MSSE is OK but it is NOT as good as NOD32.
And in a business environment you want to skimp on protection? You should have the best, most secure protection you can get.

850733 2010-01-22 02:23:00 Unfortunately it is the outlook plugin that doesnt like Nod32

I'd be calling chillisoft and talk to their technical help - I'm sure theres millions of places that have a similar setup - and Chillisoft ( NZ Distributors for Nod32) will have seen this problem before and will have an answer, or be able to get one.

Edited:

Ages ago I had a real strange problem - They had never seen before - I was asked to send a Log file from my nod32, took Chillisoft 2 days to get a fix from Eset - not bad for a single problem.

850734 2010-01-22 02:25:00 If you are currently using a paid version of AVG then you can get crossgrade pricing on NOD32 which works out at about 25% off normal retail price.
As pctek said using a free AV software in a business is asking for trouble.
You could turn off the outlook integration with NOD32 as the active monitor will still protect you if a virus comes in via email.
But as wainui said talk to Chillisoft as they may have a fix for your plugin as chances are you aren't the only ones that have had the problem.

Cicero??

You can setup Nod to NOT install the Outlook plugin & just scan email on the exchange server as it comes in.

Any good reviews about it? I have not heard of ForeFront until now.

850739 2010-01-28 20:36:00 Yeah i read about that a few weeks ago but the dickhead never even mentioned it so i will give the companys money to someone who knows what they are talking about.
I rang chillisoft today to start a bit of techsupport to see if they can pinpoint what is happening.
