852497 2010-01-27 04:46:00 Hi all. This has been bugging me for the past couple of days, I've been searchin' and googlin' to no avail, so maybe someone here can help. Does anyone know the taxi frequencies for Christchurch? radiowiki only give me southland's and a couple towns in the North Island.

I could always skulk round some taxis with the scanner on close-call, but then I'd only get the portable side of the duplex.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

852498 2010-01-27 06:02:00 Taxis are more frequent during booze-bus-blitz's. ;) R2x1 (4628)
852499 2010-01-27 07:07:00 You could always phone them up & ask them? Driftwood (5551)
852500 2010-01-27 07:17:00 You could try trawling through this site: www.rsm.govt.nz to see what frequencies the taxi companies hold licences for. somebody (208)
852501 2010-01-27 11:12:00 Driftwood; I doubt they'll want to reveal that, but I'll give it a shot.

somebody; Already done that, it's absolutely useless, I managed to get it to spit out a few frequencies, but due to the fact that not all are registered to businesses, and not every transmitter has consistent location data, it's a bit of a dead end.

852502 2010-01-27 19:13:00 Geekster: Most taxi frequencies in NZ are around 455mHz along with many other users. Have a look at www.john.geek.nz and as long as you are happy to trawl through their listings, I think that you will find what you want. Roscoe (6288)
