Unless The Warehouse has had a change of policy, there policy had been that a faulty product is checked out first before any refund or replacement or repair is undertaken. My wife needed a new cellphone and grabbed one of there sale specials. That would have been a year ago now. Followed the instructions in regards to a first charge, over the next couple of days, cellphone would only last an hour on a full charge. The Warehouse declined a refund or replacement until it had been fully checked out by who ever, that was there policy they claimed. There arguement and they do have a point, maybe it wasn't a faulty product, maybe it had been dropped or something else. They would silly replacing the phone and then sending away the alleged faulty one to be later told it wasn't faulty. A cheap DVD player for the children also play up a month or so after purchase, different Warehouse store, same attitude towards replacement. In both cases, replacements were supplied, the cellphone was replaced the following day and the DVD was replaced within about 3 days. As for NL, we have returned products to them with no hassles, once they have been checked out, they have happily offered a refund, replacement or replacement with a similair model. But going in there and DEMAND and throw your weight around and they will as any retailer will do, they can and do dig there toe's in. |

The sales lady asked if she could help us - I showed her the receipt and explained (politely) the problem they were having, one side cut out all the time, and the other only just worked at full volume, and could we please have a replacement -- she plugged them into one of their store stereos, and listened -- Turned the amp up to full -- turned around - smiled and said -- bit of a failure isn't there . Walked over to the shelf, got a new pair - did the return /reissue paper work, we thanked her (she said glad to help and any thing else I can help you with today ?) I said no thanks and we walked out . All done in less than 10 minutes . so +1 for Norman Ross Service . |

Son bought a nasty cheap TV from Warehouse once. It lasted 3 months and it was totally dead. I took it back and they said they will get it fixed, I said no, I prefer his money back as it was a serious fault after a short time and wasn't interested in it anymore. They refused. Eventually after some temper loss she got the manager. The manager said to me that I looked as though I would take it further, wouldn't I. I said for sure and sons money was refunded. Went and bought him a Sony elsewhere. |
