2010-01-28 08:02:00 | Thank you all for your comments. Is there any solution to this matter at all? Is it a good thing to approach Dipute Tribunal? How can I post this to google or any other search engine/ Thank you again To Slow Merill -- Googles little search bots already have it within a few moments of it being posted here - do a quick google search :D Type in Noel Leeming terrible and guess whats #1. As for an out come -- As per Pcteks reply, phone them back, and ask for the manager, not some twit behind the counter. Dont go losing the plot on the phone, jumping up and down yelling and screaming gets nowhere. keep in mind though the time of year - meaning the service center will have been open for only a short time and may not have yet gotten to your device, depends on the backlog of previous work - the trouble I can see is since you purchased another, getting a refund may be the sticking point, the manufacture was not given time to find the fault and repair/replace since they have only been back two weeks (roughly) They do have the right to fix it - so you may end up with two.

2010-01-28 09:12:00 | I bought a Navman from DSE. On the way to Auckland lost reception, didn't work at all with no warning. On the way back from Auckland went wonky that it worked but now and then gave me the wrong route or think I am on a diff road. Because it was just after Christmas and before NYR, I had to wait a week doing nothing - that was not counted cos the repair place was on holiday as are many other businesses. Then the weekeend an the Monday after NYR, I waited 2 weeks which was their quoted time. I got a replacement. Didn't get a refund, cos I had it a good couple of months already ... and didnt' expect one either. If it didn't work within 2 weeks with DSE they give you a new one or a refund - whichever you prefer.

2010-01-28 09:19:00 | What was the model of the GPS NOMAD. Was it MY series? DSE service is compartively much better. Lucky you have not bought from Noel Leeming. They are still on holidays. | Merill (15600) | |
2010-01-28 09:29:00 | It was a S150, I bought it 1yr ago, has a 2yr warranty. Older than the MY Series. Did you have a Navman? I went onto their site, and were open on the Mon or Tues after NYR. You could send it to them in Auckland alternatively ..... and they say 2 weeks to get back to you but may take longer due to the backlog over the festival.

2010-01-28 09:36:00 | as GPS is very essential for m day by day considering my work situation Do you use the GPS for work? You realise that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply to goods purchased for commercial purposes?

2010-01-28 10:39:00 | Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply to goods purchased for commercial purposes? ie little bit strange. where do the commercial business people go for resolution. I am working under a trades person who is paying me wages for going and working different places for him on call basis. Thanks for notifying that.

2010-01-28 11:13:00 | Have a read: www.consumeraffairs.govt.nz It's more complicated for you as you use it for work. And they can prove it because this is now on google.

2010-01-28 18:48:00 | Under the CGA it is up to the discretion of NL to repair, replace or give you a refund not you. Unless it is a major fault in which case it is your decision which option you choose. Come one, before ranting, talk to a manager. I've done that and instantly things were sorted. Talking to Sales people is pointless..
