852836 2010-01-28 21:16:00 Let us not forget that these civil servants that get more than the PM could still stay on the same salaries anyway.

All that would be required is for Phil Goff to get his salary upped to more than them. Promise kept and business as usual.

852837 2010-01-29 03:06:00 Pffft, You showed your extreme bias for everything that wasn't labour months before John Key became PM, No matter who was at the helm they were going to earn your wrath for "being born".

Quite bizarre as your quite a reasonable chap until it comes to politics, and then your Red all the way no matter what the real political situation entails.

As one of the Motorcyclists affected I am quite aware that the ACC levy raises were well orchestrated and they had room built into them for adjustment depending on public reaction, That's politics.

Truth be told I'm willing to pay a little extra for the good of the system, Not anything stupid mind you and basing the fee level on CC rating is just the work on an incompetent ********. However if they are moving towards ruining ACC then we as a country need to stand up and stop it.

This is also politics, and the next event is Feb 16, Parliament.

I'm not so much anti National after all Nick Smith is my MP and does a great job representing Nelson. I just can't stand Key

852838 2010-01-29 09:17:00 You have a choice move back to pomland because they have a socialist labor government there or live here with a conservative National government.
Its is very unrespectful to move to another country and then complain about its leaders.

1. The UK doesn't have a "socialist labor government".
2. I bet you wouldn't accuse him of being unrespectful (sic) if he complained about a labour politician.
Anyone who is on the voting register has as much right as you to voice their opinions about NZ politicians.
Perhaps you think that we shouldn't have any voting rights.

I don't agree with non-citizens having voting rights, nor with people bringing their deep seated political bias to bear on a country that has no connection with the system that bred these hangups.

So even when I have citizenship (I am applying) I shouldn't be allowed to vote.
Thank goodness most kiwis I know don't have your intolerant attitude.
You obviously have little knowledge of the history of your own country.

852841 2010-01-29 09:48:00 Metla said non citizens..... Read it again.

If you get citizenship you can vote one presumes he meant.

852842 2010-01-29 10:02:00 Ah, so "nor with people bringing their deep seated political bias to bear on a country that has no connection with the system that bred these hangups."
lets me in because perhaps he recognises that the UK has some connection with NZ.
How very tolerant of him.

When in another country show some respect to its lawfully elected leaders .
Its not too much to ask surely .
