| 851725 | 2010-01-25 08:10:00 | So, what is the farmer's issue?... apart from perhaps not taking his daily dose of Lithium. Does he really have a genuine issue, or has he lost the plot? He was talking about Transpowers plans potentially costing him $100,000's. Meantime, by being a silly bugger he may have cost the economy a whole lot more. I dunno if the refinery went offline this time, but when it does they might as well burn money by the truckload. |

Put yourself in his shoes. Reminds me of Indonesia where the city council wanted to bulldoze my uncles' and aunts' block of shops (which they own) to make a road with peanuts as compensation. Their shops are their only livelihood, so they can't go on without their business. |
