| 852070 | 2010-02-12 08:53:00 | Explain this (http://bing.com) then. Explain what -- Its The Home page of Bing ???? Anyways --- bitdefender test - as per normal --- Scanend the drive (www.imagef1.net.nz) then removed bitdefender rescanned with Nod32 (www.imagef1.net.nz) found that within the first few seconds. Then Finally finished (www.imagef1.net.nz) -- rebooted and ran a full scan shortly after on both drives Result as I expected (www.imagef1.net.nz) - Run that HitmanPro cloud scanner In action (www.imagef1.net.nz) - only located 1 object to scan on the "cloud" smiled at it :) -- And Finished. (www.imagef1.net.nz) Conclusion: -- As it is Hitman was a let down / Fizzer -- there is no option to scan any other drive but the C: ( Main) drive, even though there was the previously infected D still attached, as well as the USB drive it wouldn't scan them. May have to try a repair install on the cleaned D drive and see If I can get it to run good enough to run hitman through it. |

| 852071 | 2010-02-12 09:03:00 | Hitman told me that a Skype plugin for Pidgin was malware. I think it was going by heuristics and the fact the plugin is a wrapper(?) for the real Skype DLL, not a replacement, so it probably uses malware-similar techniques to intercept code in memory etc. Then it wanted to upload every single BIOS, Firmware, etc .exe updater I had in my huge collection to their website. So I told it to get stuffed. The great part about Hitman is that it installs to your computer without actually telling you that it will! So in my books it's a piece of junk. |
