I was surprised with MSSE when I scanned that TCPIP patch program by Lvlord or whoever he is a few mths ago. It actualy blocked it from running. No matter what I tried, it wouldnt run

Sounds pretty run-of-the-mill M$ behaviour to me. Vista stopped thousands of programs in their tracks. ;)

852055 2010-02-11 04:46:00 Say what ? (www.acronis.com) Since when did Acronis start making AV programs? And A security suite ? (www.acronis.com) Same procedure as the others, this time with Acronis the New one.

Scanned and First result (www.imagef1.net.nz) on ones asking what to do, selected delete Result from that (www.imagef1.net.nz) - tried to uninstall Acronis -- Damn thing wouldn't come out, said it needed admin permission ??

Didn't on install - so used Revo Uninstaller and lookey whats in the Reg (www.imagef1.net.nz) -- OK who's sleeping with who :p installed Nod32 Not a to hopeful Start (www.imagef1.net.nz) - to the Final Result (www.imagef1.net.nz).

What I'd like to know is why can Nod detect and remove infections that the others cant, even after the drive has been scanned.

852056 2010-02-11 05:15:00 lol thats as useless as AVG, Avast, and Nortons. Sounds like Bitdefender should go in the bin as well. Whats the point in picking them up if everything fails Speedy Gonzales (78)
852057 2010-02-11 05:37:00 Dead right mate -- If the Antivirus is "The Best" according the Lab tests, then Nod32 by rights shouldn't find anything or be able to delete anything after "the Best" has done its scan - yet it does. wainuitech (129)
852058 2010-02-11 06:37:00 It's not as if Nod doesn't spend a ----load of $$$ on advertising. Perhaps they are just not as good as Nortinz at throwing corporate boxes at media management.

Or the lab tests are carried out in a drugs lab.

Just read this article (computerworld.co.nz) - might be worth a look WT? Never heard of it before.

Good timing my friend -- Just in the process of doing Bitdefender / Nod32.

SO once Nod has scanned the "infected Drive", I 'll then do a second complete system scan on both drives (with Nod)- should come up clean

Then run that program through both drives - and see what the results are. - As they say -- stay tuned.
