| 1132033 | 2010-08-26 22:56:00 | I can't read the mini DVD-RW disks that I have recorded in my SONY DCR-DVD803 camcorder. The camcorder doesn't recognise them at all (I get disc error), and thus I can't finalise them. I also tried to read them through my pc, with no result. I read in some other forum about ISOBUSTER, but that doesn't work either. Does anyone have some information on how I can retreive the data from these discs? | sophie_agr (15960) | ||

You may need to reinstall this software to have any chance of reading the disc on your PC. I could be wide of the mark, but I think you may need to have packet writing enabled on your systems DVD software setup. From using my brothers discs, I seem to remember they were double sided (as opposed to double layered). Are you trying to read a side that is blank / unformatted? Does your PC have a DVD drive, or a CD drive? If it's a DVD drive, is it simply a DVD reader (ROM drive) or a DVD writer/burner? |

As far as the double sided discs, I am not using them . The discs I am trying to read are not blank as I have used them on my previous trip . I forgot to finalize them before taking them out of the camera and now they can neither be read or finalized on the camera . I am using a laptop and its got a dvd drive that's also a burner . I managed to get an mpeg file out of one of the discs using ISOBUSTER but I can't seem to read it with any programme . Any further help would be appreciated . |

| 1132042 | 2010-08-27 13:02:00 | That didn't work either... the only thing I can suppose is happening is that he mpeg file is empty? Is there any programme to recover the data from the discs that have not been finalized? |
