1455563 2018-11-13 08:03:00 My best friend's father had a Ford Galaxie 500 also a Plymouth Fury 3, we were allowed to drive them quite often, both very nice cars, the Galaxie was huge inside and so much power, lovely for long distance cruising.

We also had access to an Anglia and a Cortina 1500, but the car everybody wanted was the Cortina 1600E or the Datsun 1600 SSS.

A friend of mine who lived down the street won a lottery and the prize was the first Subaru a funny chunky little car FWD, either 1100 or 1300 not sure, it was really fast on dirt roads and gave most cars a good go.

1455568 2018-11-15 22:05:00 My first car as a young man was a Prefect 93E. Great little car except the motor slowly died and no matter what we did to it, it was just too old and finally gave up the ghost. Not even worth scrapping. Bryan (147)

Same had E93A Prefect when the motor died put in a 100E engine. Adjustable valves, 12v, water pump got 35 years out of it. Gave it to the Ford 10 club in Swanson.
