| 1454998 | 2018-10-27 22:35:00 | The jury is still out for me. Jodie Whittaker is fine as the Doctor, but I have some reservations about the scripts and possibly the direction. The latest episode was interesting in taking modern teenagers of colour back to segregated USA, but I thought there was a bit too much artificial conversation to explain the atmosphere of the time and there was too much general rushing about. The use of the sonic screwdriver needs to be scaled back a bit as well. I'm still optimistic, but it does need to settle down a bit. |

| 1455000 | 2018-10-28 04:02:00 | I'm liking it but I think they are being very heavy handed beating us about the head with the PC messages. I'm hoping that'll settle down and we can get back to a bit more straightforward sci fi. I have nothing against the messages they are trying to convey as such, it's just not what I watch Dr Who for. I am a little surprised how convincing Jodie is, somehow it still feels like the doctor to me. Even that accent somehow works. |
