2018-09-04 08:08:00 | Bit more info PJ. Are the videos stored on your PC? Did you use a program to save them? What program, if any, are you trying to run them? Have you tried VLC to run them? | Bryan (147) | |
2018-09-19 06:18:00 | videos normally contain two compressions, one for the video/picture and another for the audio. It sounds like your computer understands the audio but does not understand the video. To fix it you normally need to have the right codecs installed for your video player, some normally tell you what you are missing but if not, then you would need to know what one you require. I normally just use VLC (videolan.org) player that has the greatest support of video codecs out there so you should never need to hunt around for codecs. You may not want to learn another video player, but if you learnt this one, you may never need to learn another one ever.

2018-09-21 03:59:00 | On a side note, is there a stable version of VLC that doesn't rely on a network connection? The version I got (off the windows store in win10) will lose the picture whenever the WIFI connects or disconnects. | the_bogan (9949) | |
2018-09-21 04:09:00 | The windows store version of VLC is not as good as the regular desktop version from videolan.org, just use the desktop version. As much as MS would like us all to move to their universal apps from the store they have a lot of work to do before they convince me, in almost every case I find those apps to be worse than the desktop version when there is one.

If you are playing video live streamed from the net of course you will lose it if your connection is dropped no matter what you are using to play it! |
