1452797 2018-08-16 23:05:00 On 16 August under FileHippo.com this update shows. However when I click on it to download I get an error message "Error 404 page not found or is temporarily unavailable".
I tried with 3 different browsers but same result. I then left matters until today (17th) in case "temporarily unavailable" was the cause.

Same Error message.

I have also tried directly keying in to the search button (NOT on FileHippo) but still cannot access this updated version.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and maybe found a "fix"?

I am a fan of the programme.

1452798 2018-08-16 23:14:00 Did you try getting it from iobit's site? I don't trust file sharing sites. Kame (312)

1452801 2018-08-17 09:22:00 Thanks Karamea Dave, your suggestion worked and I have updated. Neil F (14248)
1452802 2018-08-18 06:19:00 I’ve actually got a Laptop with Windwoes 10 on it and when it updated a couple of days ago it killed iobit ver 6.

Re-installed Ver 8 and seems to be working again.

Usually these Windwoes 10 updates kill Ccleaner but that survived this time.

I only persevere with Windwoes because I use this particular laptop whilst travelling and Telecom Companies in other countries seem to tailor all their settings for Windwoes. :crying

W10 usually only takes out Ccleaner if its to old. Ccleaner regally has upgrades (sometimes 2 a month), they are Free, and WILL warn you when upgrades are available.

Ccleaner often seems to upgrade around the times when Windows has new updates as well so they are keeping up todate with any thing that may cause it to be removed, not allowing the free upgrade is the person own stupid fault.

I disagree, :D If it ain't f'n broken, don't f'n fix it.

Too many times I've seen things working perfectly until someones fixes it. ;)

Winwoes 10 excels at it. :) be honest.

1452805 2018-08-18 09:26:00 Neil F, Hi. I have experienced that Error 404 and got around it by using a different Browser........ however it could be your AV stopping it as it is seeing FileHippo.com as an 'unsafe' site so try disable AV and any 'Real Time' protection/s for 15 mins ..... MalwareBytes as well if you have that installed...close it. Hopefully MBAM hasn't blocked the FileHippo.com site if it has you will have to go to settings and make an exception to Unblock and Allow the URL for FileHippo.com
I had IOBit a couple year back but I returned to my favourite Uninstaller app, namely Revo Pro. :D

Nothing wrong with Revo, but what swung me to IObit is it can round up all Winwoes 10 “Kiddy Litter” and you can uninstall them, which in turn saves you all the updates and attending malfunctions.

But each to their own I guess. :)
