1452754 2018-08-16 05:35:00 Can anyone recommend a programme for printing Envelope Labels?

Now, I used to do this years ago on a dot matrix printer, but got sick of them coming off the backing paper and wrapping themselves around the rollers and the glue reducing my DPI. :D

Some of you will understand. ;)

The reason is, “Large” “E35” Envelopes won’t fit in my printer.

Don’t care if I have to pay for the Programme, but free or a trial version would be better. :D

online or download. You may need to lower yourself to Win :)

I have many memories of having to remove sticky lables off laser printer drums and rollers

1452757 2018-08-16 06:25:00 Since you use Linux ( wont hold that against ya) :p :D MS office is out, BUT Libre Office which is cross OS can do it. Checked on the Windows version and these instructions are spot on. "Should" be the same in The Linux Version: help.libreoffice.org

1452759 2018-08-17 03:04:00 I have had a need for label printing several times over the years.
I've always used MS Word with the main problem being the printer.
A printer with a straight thru feed path for the paper (or label) path is much less likely to wrap labels around the roller than one which outputs from the same side of the printer as the input.
Good luck

1452760 2018-08-18 04:36:00 Thanks everyone .

I’ve had a bit of a rethink on this one, and given only one label at a time would be printed, it would mean that a sheet of say 10 labels would have to pass through the printer 10 times, which I don’t think could happen without a sticky label getting stuck somewhere in the printer .

Only guessing mind you, and stand to be corrected . :)

1452761 2018-08-18 06:10:00 Microsoft Word - has a tab for labels.

Still use XP and MS Works database/labels for xmas envelopes.

Still have the Avery Label software, but a lot more setting that one up.

lurking.
