They know that in order to have any support once they get too old to support themselves they need a few surviving children, The best way to do this is have as many children as nature gives them knowing full well that most of them may die. What do you plan to educate them in? Mainly sex ed, proper farming, etc. Of course help is also needed to make sure you're actually educating live people, but often these days it's just food coming in without the education. |

Prior to that he was sitting on his billions and working on remaining the worlds richest man. Yay Melinda! Bill and Melinda have teamed with Rotary some years ago in order to continue the push to eradicate polio worldwide. Polio is a good example of why to vaccinate. Polio can kill, maim and permanently weaken people, and for those that do survive polio, spending the rest of your life with limited strength in your lungs, arms and legs is a very significant handicap, which affects the whole family and the community. A family with a cripple, is a crippled family when you have to rely on your legs and feet for all labour and transport. |

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. |

I'm surprised no one thought of that before. Oh wait, They laugh at sex education, They believe in breeding, They need kids. Farming?, You do realise their country and environment are nothing like NZ? The land is not fertile and they only work small plots, when the rain doesn't come the crops fail and they starve. Then they become reliant on aid. If you can make ten billion acres of land into productive soil and fix drought then sure, problem solved, Im betting you can't even with modern farming techniques. If you can, let me invest, It will be worth trillions. Lack of food and die back of population is a natural cycle, Its how nature brings things back into balance, Now we have broken the cycle, made them reliant on hand outs and given them conditions to continue breeding more people to suffer. Preaching sex education has been tried. |

I don't think the people who benefit from his money care where it came from. The point wasn't so much that Bill is blowing his own horn but that others may make contributions but as its not something that generally requires a press release then people aren't going to know squat about it, and this was in relation to someone slamming Mr Jobs for not contributing. |

Anyway he said that all the aid that had been given to African countries had done virtually nothing for them. He also said that the aid organization were the worst ones as far as giving someone a lift in their lovely four wheel drives. The World Bank has a lot to answer for in regards of the state of African countries because they forced them to grow crops which did not benefit the inhabitants but bought in money to pay off loans. |

He is knocked for being too successful and wanting to crush his completion could sworn that was called Capitalism lol, not suggesting I think the system is sustainable but its what we have. At least he has not rapped 3rd word countries to get rich like so many large Corperations have in one way or another, oil, cheap labour, unfair prices for commodities etc. |

He's a businessman first - - and philanthropy comes 'way last when he needs a big dodge to avoid paying taxes. It's just better PR spin to look kind and fatherly. |
