1132872 2010-08-30 03:54:00 Why not just adjust the screens to suit - Trouble is some people expect to simply plug in a monitor and it looks perfect.

Mines got the monitor adjusted slightly, then dive into the graphic card settings and fine tune.

Well, obviously. But assuming the adjustments made no difference, I wouldn't mind using one like the left one.

1132873 2010-08-30 03:59:00 ah. not sure if it's a trick of the light/flash or whatever, but the left one seems to have a white line running up it in the bottom left corner next to the mozilla button on the taskbar.

Is that what you're looking for?

Trick of the light.
I have to say, I'd swap - except mine (on the right) has the higher res.
It is a nice picture.

Yes both me (with mine) and her with the one on the left have twiddled with the settings on the monitor, I've adjusted mine to be less bright or whatever - her, she said nothing she did made a difference.

But she says her CRT is fine and she has lost interest in the whole business now, so I have 2 monitors now.

She says, and I don't know exactly what she means, that her screen looks all pixellated or like it's in a low res type effect is what I think she means, not sharp - blocky like when you had them real low res.

It's not her card - that I know for sure - and it isn't the screen so it beats me what..........can't think of a single other thing that would affect it in her PC. Not if she says the CRT looks good.
