| 1133025 | 2010-08-30 06:57:00 | Im trying to pull my laptop apart. I found a compartment that was empty (see photos) what is the compartment likely for? And after undoing all the screws i could see, the top panel still wouldnt completely unclip all the way around. should i just pull it harder? heres the link to the 7 photos imgur.com |

| 1133029 | 2010-08-30 08:52:00 | It looks like it could be a slot for a mini-PCIe card - on models which have the appropriate slot soldered to the motherboard. I can't see any obvious sign of the connector in the photos you've uploaded. In terms of completely disassembling your laptop, check for screws that go from the top of the laptop down - i.e. hidden under the panel near the hinge, or under the keyboard. There are often little plastic clips which are designed to be easy to click in place, but really difficult to release which go all the way around the case, so you need to be careful. |

| 1133031 | 2010-08-30 11:58:00 | I pulled the laptop apart (fyi kb needed removing first, with the tiny clips at the top of the kb, to get to more screws underneath it.) and theres no connectors or anything at all where the compartment is. I thought mini pci, but theres nothing there... and the wifi card is between the hdd and ram under the main flap at the bottom... | jareemon (5207) | ||
