854635 2010-02-02 07:58:00 Hi all,

Does anyone know a good place where I can buy a freeview satellite dish in Wellington area?
I prefer one who also offer installation.

Cheers,

854636 2010-02-02 07:58:00 Must be a local freeview shop what about Google or Yellow pages gary67 (56)
854637 2010-02-02 08:14:00 Pretty easy to put up yourself and setup. I have got a mini dish that I use on my camper bus on holiday and on the house when I am at home.
DSE sell all the stuff you need.

Cheers,

They list them on the Freeview web site. I just asked by e mail for a typical install cost for a satelite dish for access by Scott's TV, ball park figure is $600, presuming you already have the freeview built in or have got the Freeview box already.

I'd just buy a combo off trademe, and pay the local man to install it if your not keen to get up a ladder yourself.

854641 2010-02-04 06:24:00 Why not go for the UHF option if you are in welly. Cheaper, and HD, unlike satellite. robbyp (2751)

Currently renting and the lease will end in 3 months.

Thinking to get UHF when we get to a permanent place.

Thanks!

That is what it I thought it should cost but when I rang two local installers it was about $200 and $400, just for the installation as I have the dish and cable.

854644 2010-02-10 21:49:00 A "satellite finder" (www.trademe.co.nz) should only cost about $15 or so, good enough for occasional use. Google will give you instructions on aiming to get Optus D1. R2x1 (4628)
