Indeed - it's a great idea in theory, but mapping out the finer points is very difficult, as death is rather irrevocable; capital punishment suffers from the same issue. Still, as is so often held up as an example, we're allowed to put our pets down when they suffer; surely humans should be afforded the same right. |
