Now I usually carry a Duffle type bag with “Speights” on it and on previous occasions he had mentioned in passing that he’d travelled around NZ and what a great drop “Speights” was. Anyway, this time I strike him again and opened the conversation with the following line: “You’re in luck, the resident terrorist is back again”. He took me aside and the conversation went like this: Mate, I know you’re only joking, but I give you fair warning, Never, Ever, use the word Bomb or Terrorist in the Airport Security area. There are microphones everywhere, and the possibly of some over zealous individual spoiling your whole holiday is right on the cards. The Aussies are deadly serious about security, almost to the point of paranoia, so I’m sure the same has happened there as well. Let it be a warning to all. :xmouth: |
