855384 2010-02-06 05:00:00 Bought a Talon mower (korean copy of a Honda motor) from Bunnings. Said it had ball bearing wheels.
2 years later then the wheels cracked and literally fell off, found it did not have bb wheels, just Nylon bushes which had gone.

Went back and complained, (well out of warranty), the Manager simply said "what are your requirements". I said cut/catch/mulch.
Only 1 Masport $864 that had those features, he checked their cost price ($600+) but said we could have it for $500

Took it like a flash, then used the Talon motor onto a crapped out Lawnmaster with good chassis and bb wheels, an A1 mower for the weekend cottage.

Good service from Bunnings

20% through Chemo session number 3, they all work but it always comes back. Surgery and localised painting of sinus tumour in between, but in the chemo department we are running out of choices.

With only about 100 cases in the world, it's a pure guess. It will be a major milestone it I manage next Xmas.

All prayers gratefully accepted, God is aware who GF is.

Cheers

855392 2010-03-22 19:10:00 This is an update to a thread (now closed) that I started nearly a year ago about Warehouse motor mowers. 10 months ago we went ahead and bought a Briggs and Straton mower from the Warehouse with a hard plastic grass catcher. It is not a Colt or Firebrand; it just says Briggs and Straton, Classic 37. Green metal body, black catcher. I think we paid about $300 for it, marked down at a $100 discount as the Warehouse does with its mowers on a regular basis.

Report: Excellent, no problems, cuts and catches grass just fine. Starts easy - as long as the primer button is pushed as per the instructions and you wait a bit. I would recommend this mower unless you don't mind spending $600+ for a mower with a name brand like Masport.

Update: Our mower is in fact a 'COLT'.

Not sure why I could not see the name on it previously.

It still works well and from what I can tell it looks to be the same as the Morrison mower that Mitre 10 has recently advertised for $399.
