When I used to sell PC's in the late 80's we used to say that a 20 meg hard drive was fine for the average business and that 40 and 80 meg hard drives were only needed by banks and insurance companies to store all their customer records. Judging by your comments on the "need" for 1TB and 2TB drives, banks and insurance companies could probably "still" store their customer records on an 80 meg hard drive ! (OK - well perhaps an 80 gig drive !) |
