856476 2010-02-09 07:51:00 7 will even move your old OS/User accounts into a folder called Windows.old as long as you don't format the drive. So no need to move the data, and nothing will be lost (though it will need to be moved to its new locations). george12 (7)

856479 2010-02-11 08:43:00 I did a clean install of Ultimate (using a upgrade disk) and it took under twenty minutes.

I recall Vista took about eight hours by way of comparison!!!

I've been running Win7 since just before Christmas and it is rock-solid, whereas Vista (running for about 12 months) on the same hardware would crash and/or lock up about once a month...
