Excuse my ignorance, but if someone could enlighten me as to where this money came from that would be appreciated. What I would like to know is, who pockets the millions? Nobody ever says who benefits from all the money. What has happened to all the maoris at the bottom of the pile who could do with a few thousand to improve their lot? They don't see any of it. There should not be a poor maori left anywhere in the country. The taxpayer has paid billions to different maori tribes over the years but many maoris are just as badly off as they were before all this nonsense started. Can someone explain where all these billions (not an exaggeration) have gone? Can anyone point to any poor maori that has benefited from any of this extravagance? An enormous price. She was the daughter? daughter-in-law? of a certain maori who owned some polytech in Auckland and became immensely rich from offering govt funded courses. They bought up a number of other houses for workers also, then had fights with various staff, were going to import some form the Nth Island, then lost interest in the whole exercise and are currently flogging off everything.
