Question (15792)
1135858 2010-09-11 19:55:00 But not always the search, I use it every day, and I know lots of other people that do as well, it works good when used correctly, and to be honest I have not seen any speed difference between it on /off.I agree. I think Windows search is one of the major improvements in Win7. I've never noticed any performance degradation as a result of having it, and it makes finding obscure programs/features/files very easy. Tony (4941)

1135860 2010-09-11 22:37:00 Hmm... Your drive gets 5.7, mine gets 5.5, and mine seems fine to me...

But then my RAM is 7.5 compared to your 5.5, no idea if that actually means anything significant though.

Proving as I always thought that the Windows performance score is an arbitrary load of lies.
