857288 2010-02-13 02:35:00 Under the double taxation agreement, you should get a tax credit with the IRD for the UK tax that has been deducted at source, so theoretically you will be no worse off

I don't want a tax credit Ken, I don't want to pay any tax in the UK, I want all my tax to paid here in NZ.

I've gone through my old files (Moral...never throw anything away) and found the confirmation from Inland Revenue (as it was then called) in the UK dated September 2003 that my application for exemption from UK income tax had been accepted and that future payments of my pension would be made without deduction of UK income tax.
"This exemption will apply so long as you are resident in New Zealand".

Well mine was issued in NZ but it's still not valid as we had to get a photo on the licence. They tried to bring in a national ID card too at one time.

Won't by long before we get RFID chips or similar implants anyway.

They say only suspicious characters such as Sweep will need to have RFID installed in their buttocks.
