857741 2010-02-12 21:52:00 Which is he most reliable TV brand in your experience? Panasonic, Sony or Samsung?

I'm looking to buy an LCD TV. I don't want something that is going to be giving heaps of trouble!

857742 2010-02-12 22:15:00 We have only had Sony TV's LCD currently, never had a breakdown in 30+ years Arnie (6624)

857744 2010-02-12 22:20:00 Sony for me - mine goes like a dream but the clincher is the DLNA which I couldn't find on the models by other brands. You plug it straight into the network and it will play video and Mp3's straight off you computer on to the TV. I have a network port behind the TV so it all makes it very easy to play any content off the network straight onto the TV. Twelvevolts (5457)
857745 2010-02-12 22:20:00 Panasonic.

Sony = overpriced imo.
Samsung = no experience.

857749 2010-02-13 01:09:00 If the price is OK, go for Sony, but FWIW a friend of mine has a son in TV retail and he says Panasonic is at the moment the brand to get for LCDs (yeah I know "the son of a friend" may be suspect but I do trust what he says since he and his son are smart and discerning types). 857750 2010-02-13 01:33:00 I,m very pleased with my Sony Bravia. Had it 18 mths. I do not know about other brands but this one automatically updates the Freeview via the UHF aerial. I also can plug my flash stick in the side and view my photos. gradebdan (2186)
