1136697 2010-09-12 11:11:00 used dvd flick to encode an avi file so i could play it on the dvd player in the lounge, when it comes to burning to disc, the disc in question is not recognised in mycomputer nor does an autoplay window open.

this was done on a vista home premium SP2 computer

the disc is an imation dvd-rw, the inside cover says its from 2005.

could they be incompatable or too old??

google seems to suggest the incompatability

disc also not recognised on my laptop running 7

1136698 2010-09-12 11:48:00 Any cd burning / emulation programs installed? roxio? daemontools? Does it appear in device manager? Or the BIOS? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1136699 2010-09-12 11:51:00 Sounds like the dvd is iffy/stuffed, not the drive. feersumendjinn (64)

1136703 2010-09-12 20:57:00 Its probably one of those programs you posted. That caused it Speedy Gonzales (78)
1136704 2010-09-13 03:48:00 I've had some discs that when burnt on one drive, won't read on another, but if burnt on the second, work fine on both drives.

Yet, other discs will work perfectly on both drives.
