1136277 2010-09-10 22:53:00 Im running Thunderbird 3.1.3 and ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2.58.3 and have just looked in addons for Thunderbird and it says ESET Smart Security Extension is not compatible with this version of Thunderbird, is anyone else having this or figured out a way to get it to work without downgrading? nedkelly (9059)
1136278 2010-09-10 23:12:00 One reason I always use a version or so behind, let the bugs get sorted out first.

You can try This here (kb.eset.com) see if it works. Even though the article is for Outlook /Outlook Express.

1136279 2010-09-11 00:14:00 Did not work, oh well hopefully sometime soon ESET releases a new version that does work nedkelly (9059)
1136280 2010-09-11 02:00:00 Hardly ESETS fault, Thunderbird makes alterations to its program, and then the other places, like Antivirus companies have to put in fixes that were previously not a problem. Sure they will sort it.

Bit like FireFox, a lot of times, when it upgrades, add in's suddenly dont work that used to in the previous version.

1136282 2010-09-14 08:04:00 Oh ok time to upgrade, how would I get my user name and password from the program? nedkelly (9059)
1136283 2010-09-14 08:42:00 Import / Export via the Update Settings? bob_doe_nz (92)
1136284 2010-09-14 08:45:00 sweet will try that nedkelly (9059)
1136285 2010-09-14 09:41:00 No need to get the user name and password, simply download the latest version, and install it, there will be an option already ticked which lets you use the current settings, this is any rules, the username/Password all automatically reapplies. wainuitech (129)
1136286 2010-09-14 09:55:00 Ok, new opinion, NOD32 ROCKS MORE THAN BEFORE!!! nedkelly (9059)
