858212 2010-02-14 02:49:00 Was talking to a friend who works in IT at Auckland Uni.
For some time now they have been using NOD32, client/server.

Why?
Too many problems with Nortons. Causing problems.
And. They spent 1 year doing extensive testing, apart form it's other issues, it (gee, we're surprised) misses too much.

1 year. Now you can't say they rushed the results on that.

What else do they use? They used to use a lot of other anti-malware, now they just use SPybot in conjunction with NOD.

Congratulations Akld Uni.

More large places should be as sensible and actually test to see what works and what doesn't.

858213 2010-02-14 03:39:00 Yea a couple of the big high schools up here are using nod32 as well.
Talking to the IT person and some of the teachers and they wouldn't use anything else now.

858216 2010-02-14 05:18:00 No I don't think so. You can get a trial version for 30 days maybe. Agent_24 (57)

Lights failed pretty regularly too. Generator life = up to 30 minutes, less if armature rotated. Prone to having the handling properties of a sledge on gravel, but had "bags of character".

Of course. All British bikes were carefully designed to leak oil and they did it beautifully.
Even the cars did.
My Allegro was really good at it.

Are you referring to the RR motors?

858221 2010-02-14 06:46:00 de Haviland and Bristol were the pinnacle of that art.

Britten Norman could make any engine leak and run rough. They then put a door by each oil leak. ;)
