| 858077 | 2010-02-14 12:26:00 | When I went to visit New Zealand for a holiday... Telstra wants to charge me $350 for turning on global roaming on hiptop 3 and then pay a normal month bill and extras what ever comes out of roaming. So I didn't get Telstra to set up global roaming. Because hiptop used EDGE data for everything, that include unlimited sms, unlimited internet data, unlimited email, msn and yahoo in Australia only. Cheapest thing I did, used my old NZ vodafone blackberry 7100v and get a NZ vodafone prepaid for texting only. Next time when I visit home for holiday I'll try my blackberry bold 9700, will find out what would it be cost to set up global roaming on Telstra for blackberry. |
