Yeah even then, I'd keep the money just for a second Netbook, personally. The NB200 had motion detection / rattle / vibration stuff in its HDD so that if it thought it was being moved or falling, it'd park the head immediately. I'd rather two of those netbooks, coz lets face it, if it's hitting the ground it won't last long with or without a SSD :D |

| 1136865 | 2010-09-14 06:13:00 | I got an OCZ Apex SSD when they were still relatively new (cost me about $500) and its pretty much useless for running an OS, transfer speeds are fantastic (have seen it write at almost 200MB/s over USB 3) but trying to run an OS off it, it was almost unuseable, I switched it out for a WD Black 320GB and it was like night and day. Also, I figured I could use the SSD for my HTPC since I don't use it much, but using it every now and then for browsing was just to painfull so I switched that one out for another WD Black 320GB (2.5") so yeah... you can get the WD black for like 100 bucks, and performance is decent, maybe look at one of those? I'm sure the X-25 is far better than my **** OCZ one but seriously, I am dubious of the cheaper ones after my experience. |
