858949 2010-02-16 06:25:00 Religious fantasy has no place in a tech forum.

Funny, I thought this was a friendly (most of the time) place where we could discuss anything?

I agree with your comments Roscoe!

I certainly won't.

Thank you, Ken. Nice to see that someone has taken the story simply as a good yarn.

There was no intention to start a discussion on the merits or otherwise of religion. I put forward the story purely for interest.

Then there are the types who are simply negative about everything. They are just out to pour scorn on anything and everything. Note how the same ones appear on like clockwork on cue each time. They have no other virtue but their predictability. Sad, really.:groan:

858952 2010-02-16 06:38:00 An interesting concept Roscoe, It could happen in theory but then again in theory anything can happen. I don't buy it though since I'm not a believer. I prefer the old gods they are more fun. I find the concept that they put us here to amuse them much easier to comprehend gary67 (56)

I'm not asking you to be a believer - just appreciate a good story.

But it has, unintentionally, raised the hackles of some who like to object to anything that smells just the slightest of religion (Gary accepted) and it starts me wondering just what they are afraid of? It's like a religion in itself - object to anything that has the slightest hint of religion to it.

But whatever the naysayers say, people will believe what they wish to believe. It makes little difference.

Nope..

I just see a load of BS for what it really is..... a load of BS.

People that resort to posting this sort of rubbish must live dull boring lives :(

I stand against the spread of lies, and the control/power over weak people that these lies give to orginisations.

If the hustle was real there would be no need to lie about it. And if you think that story is a good yarn (You don't, Your interested in spreading lies not good yarns) then you need to read a book or two, If it weren't a perversion that exists as a propaganda tool for the church that story wouldn't get published on the inside of a weetbix packet.

What a great example of reasoning and healthy debate! Don't put forward any example of why you think it bullshit. You might have to do some thinking.

Metla does not think the story has any substance at all, but he at least put forward why he thinks the way he does.

But Zippity? Doesn't have any real opinion - just call it bullshit.:illogical
