It was using Swearingen Metros aka flying pencils. These aircraft had a few hydraulic problems and it got to the stage where every time they were being worked on it would be news in either the Dominion or the Evening Post. No mention of any of the Air New Zealand aircraft moved into the maintenance hangers. |
