I'd say Vodafone stopped being king when it stopped free texting in the weekend, and that was a while ago now.

Telecoms $10 text has been king for young people and Telecom is still king amongst young people, with XT having unlimited texts and even best mate now. Only thing Vodafone ever had over Telecom was when they had best mate before Telecom.

858547 2010-02-15 06:03:00 You mean the two outages they have had?

I'm with the old CDMA network and am not changing until it ends, but if you are not going to XT solely because of two outages they have had then that's pathetic. No network is perfect.

I would be impressed if they hadn't had any problems by now. This sort of thing is expected, I'm sure the kinks will be ironed out as they say.

858548 2010-02-15 06:27:00 The kinks are the very people it is aimed at, going by their commercials.
Those kinks will be wrung out, not ironed out. ;)

858549 2010-02-15 17:17:00 If you are on pre pay then you will be much better off on 2 Degrees.

I was topping up once a month on Vodaphone, now its only once every 3 months with 2 Degrees.

Are the Kinks still performing them? I haven't heard any new material from them for quite a while

858551 2010-02-15 18:50:00 Apparently the kinks were featuring on XT last night, I don't think it was a new work though, quite the reverse.
Only to a small (www.stuff.co.nz), select group apparently.
