858042 2010-02-14 07:18:00 Blu-Ray is terrible just because of the AACS DRM system used in commercial movies. Without that it would be alright. ad_267 (6193)
858043 2010-02-15 05:45:00 I see sony isn't on the forum. Odd, they've been on with CD's, DVD's, and blu-ray, they normally are on the winning side of the format war (forgetting BetaMax, Minidisc, etc) ubergeek85 (131)

Lets not forget Memory Stick Pro, their cameras are going to be hybrid with SD this year, I think they are slowly conceding defeat, i imagine they will shift to SD completely soon.

858048 2010-02-15 08:30:00 Pity they cant make a el cheapo flash drive with as much storage as a bloo-ray disk.
And ruggedized like an AK47 throw it in the mud, sand freeze it and it still works

858050 2010-02-15 10:15:00 When SATA came out, a friend of mine told me how he thought that in the future hard drives could be replaced with tiny chip devices that plugged into the motherboard directly.

If these postage stamp SSDs could be made to plug straight into a SATA port I reckon he might just have been right...
