858814 2010-02-15 21:20:00 This has to be the worst network ever built, Im an xt customer and this network is **** i tried sending texts last night but they bounced back and still had trouble this morning.

It's high time telecom pulled this network down and rebuilt it from scratch all over again to sort out the faults and bugs it has, To me it's just $600,million dollars worth of cheap **** that is no good to anyone.

858816 2010-02-15 21:37:00 Telecom's technical problems & limited phone selection are the only reason I'm still with Vodafone. inphinity (7274)

858820 2010-02-16 00:38:00 Why does everybody seem to have cellphone network problems? If you stick to the main network it all goes OK. I've had a cellphone since the first flip-top Motorola was released way back in the early days of the analog network. I'm only on my 4th phone now (Samsung W531 I think) and all it does is work. Here or roaming overseas, it is 100% reliable, as were all of my previous phones and those of my family, except one that my daughter dropped in the ocean. That was a disappointment, it gave up!

Stay away from Vodafone, XT or any of the other blends and you get reliable service. Of course the phone isn't that sexy and it won't do my washing, walk the dog or tell me what the stock-market is doing, but it's a PHONE for chrissake and when I want to talk to somebody, it works. I can always tell a Vodafone user when they call me because the connection quality is lousy and they usually drop off before the call is finished and have to ring back.

I wouldn't touch XT with a forty-foot pole for another 12 months yet, if ever. Early adopters are simply unpaid beta-testers. Of course you do get a lot of street-cred and kudos from your mates by being an early adopter, and they can always contact you by postcard if they really care.

Cheers

858821 2010-02-16 01:11:00 XT sucks from what have read and heard on the internet. convair (13650)
858822 2010-02-16 01:18:00 Internet micro outages happen on nearly a weekly basis with various ISP's. Not sure why a few hours of kids not being able to TXT each other should make the news lol.

Probably the media didn't think they could provoke enough "outrage" this time as its getting old, so went with other leading stories.
