No sound
- Audio is associated with Bluetooth?
- downloaded & installed the Realtek High Definition audio driver from Acer
- although installed, it is still not associated or available as a sound playback device

Notebook / Aspire / 5100? Didn't it have a restore partition on it? Did it come with XP originally?

So I don't know if the chipset drivers were installed 1st.
