1137811	2010-09-17 00:06:00	Been trying to narrow down new CPU. Got convinced by the 640 (3.0G) then saw ex demo Phenom ii 920 (2.8)from Playtech for about the same cost. The Phenom is AM2+ and the 640 is AM3. The MB and CPU won't be upgraded for a good long time so perhaps the older socket isn't a problem but I'd welcome an opinion on which is best for me. Will be general use, no really state of the art games or heavy work so I suppose I'd be looking for the one that will last the longest before becoming too slow / outdated. Also - ex demo (with warranty though), any issues there for a first time builder? Just as I get close to buying something, another option keeps popping up!! Thanks for any opinions.	Contented (15925)
