1137674 2010-09-16 01:10:00 I have one student with a damaged right arm who needs a left handed mouse for a couple of months. Anyone any idea about which wires to switch to facilitate this? This would be easier than a software switch that won't follow her around school. JohnMax (12135)

1137676 2010-09-16 01:21:00 Unfortunately that changes it for everyone using the particular PC PLUS students don't have access to Control panel.

I wondered if she could carry a modified mouse around that she could plug in where she sat.

Mouse buttons are all the same across the hardware, it difference is the buttons swapped in the control panel...

1137680 2010-09-16 02:50:00 It's a sad fact that nobody bothers to open a mouse these days. If it's broken they buy a new one. Of course they're all a bit different inside, but it shouldn't be too hard to find which wires go to the underside of the push button. Probably only need to swap two wires as there's probably one wire common to each. Ask any friends doing electrical work, instrument repair, radio & tv tech or a PC tech. coldot (6847)
1137681 2010-09-16 03:19:00 i am sorry to hear that, and it makes me remember that once i had a beautiful young teacher whose right hand has congenital diseases, but she can do everything with her left hand.i do not know how to change the mouse wiring and where to buy that kind of mouse, but I hope you can fix the problem early.good luck. faith1806 (15972)
