| 860064 | 2010-02-19 23:51:00 | We had a few people here try ChromeOS a short while ago. A friend linked me to this, and I thought I'd spread the joy: http://chromeos.hexxeh.net Anyways I've just written a blog post about it, but I'd love to hear what some of the other PF1'ers think of it. It's kind of spoiled my desktop browsing experience now, as even that feels sluggish and a bit like it's dragging its heels. Chill. |

Places like Startforce (www.startforce.com) Screenshot (http:) if you click on Live demo it loads in a desktop thats fully functional. Even has fully working menus (www.imagef1.net.nz) There are a few about, but this one seemed the fastest - almost as if It were my own desktop. Depending on Internet traffic of course, and you can access it from anywhere. Only problem is - they are free - so they may disappear sometimes and any data lost, so I wouldn't store important stuff in one that wasn't backed up somewhere else as well. |
