859941 2010-02-19 08:51:00 Hi, I purchased a sd700ky Toshibe DVD player player recently as my Panasonic DVD recorder would not play the the audio discs I had recorded from my P.C.
In the retail shop they hooked the player to their TV and my audio DVD disc playlist was brought up on the screen and played correctly.
When I hooked it up to my sound system, not my TV at home, the machine went into READ mode but ended up with parallel spaced lines thats all.
I tried an audio CD-R disc and it works fine.
It appears strange it should work at the shop but not at home.
I believe even if there are no data cables connected, it should still load the disc.
Any help would be appreciated as I am going to have a hard time convincing the shop that the unit is faulty or is there something I am missing
The shop is in my home town.
