| 859625 | 2010-02-18 02:20:00 | Damn, this sucks. Smoked 8 years now. Just calculated that I have spent approximately 30k (HOW THE HELL DID I AFFORD THAT???!) on smokes so far. (Probably more, as I don't even know how much a pack costs these days... which is another concern in itself, and lighters or matches) I got one smoke left. And my lighter doesn't work anymore... I can't be bothered getting a new lighter, so I guess this is as good a time as any to quit. Who else here has quit? |

| 859627 | 2010-02-18 02:49:00 | Know how you feel Cato, I started when they were .20c a packet of 20. Gave it up last April & have paid myself the $30 bucks a week I was spending on them ...... WOW, have replaced spouting, bought paint, tiles, Windows 7, fert. for the lawn, dinner out & still got money in my pocket. I can't say I feel any better without them. Yet. | jebby (4580) | ||

| 859629 | 2010-02-18 02:55:00 | I gave up 30 Novemebr 2000 :) For the first couple of years, the $10 a day, $70 a week, $3,650.00 a year savings bought me a brand new desk top PC with all the bells and whistles. The following year I bought a Canon P6 digital camera - waaaay overpriced :) From year 3 onwards, I no longer needed the saving/stop smoking incentive. Haven't looked back and feel much better too. Clothes smell nice - so does the car and the house :) :) Give up now - you certainly won't regret it. Good luck. |
