860506 2010-02-22 09:10:00 ...i say bring back cdma at least it didn't always go tits up.It never went anywhere - the network is still there, still functioning, and if I recall correctly isn't scheduled to be turned off until 2012. Erayd (23)

860508 2010-02-22 09:20:00 Interesting this time round, some SMS's still get through.

What gets me is; why south of Taupo? It seems to be a major point in the XT network, if it's failing so much, I have to wonder, is it just the cleaner unplugging something for their vacuum?

So far, it's been one failure/month since December.

860512 2010-02-22 09:26:00 Couldn't believe it when I got a call on my Vodaphone phone to say my XT phone wasn't working again. But gee - I think I got ten dollars compensation - whoopee!! Twelvevolts (5457)
860513 2010-02-22 09:29:00 Nice one Bob

XT is almost as good as the railways with their break downs - almost every day SWMBO gets a txt from them.

Maybe we come to "expect" it.

860514 2010-02-22 09:51:00 i dont think they will shut down the CDMA network based on the last 3-4 months of epic XT failure. GameJunkie (72)

Maybe it's the number of TXTs that Rail are sending out advising of train delays that are overloading the XT network
