| 1138551 | 2010-09-23 03:30:00 | I can't help with the details of footnotes as I rarely need to use them, but have you tried using 'section breaks' to confine specific formatting to a single location within a page, or set number of pages only, or other variations? You can do this as many times through a document as you wish and if you finally submit as a PDF, nobody can interfere with how you have formatted it and it will print WYSIWYG every time. I'm not sure if this would necessarily help in your particular circumstances as I don't even understand the problem, but I use this technique to stop special formatting from interfering with pages that don't require it. Being self-taught on WP I have sometimes created by alternative means solutions that were already available within Word for operators with higher levels of skill, but they have worked for me.
