Got to be one of the best motorcycle roads in the world. Blew my mind on a bike a year ago, and I have been to Milford twice before in cages. It is around 220 km return with no petrol station so take a 5L container if your dad's Harley-with-a-teardrop-tank cannot do the distance.. Even Lewis Pass is a blast. Some awesome riding on the S Island. |

| 859431 | 2010-02-19 00:50:00 | Just re-read your post. 5 days is not a lot so maybe not enough to zoom down to Milford especially if your dad is not up to long hauls. Anyhow, you can have a blast doing Hanmer Spgs, Lewis Pass, Westport, Nelson, etc. Reefton also. Really. |
