1138214 2010-09-18 21:59:00 Have been live on windows 7 for 2 weeks now (from XP) and I can really say that I like it very much.

I like the folder breadcrumbs trail

The task bar features are amazing, being able to view documents etc

I love the way you can snap windows to the left or right, so I can have two windows side by side on my 24" screen is very useful.

It boots up and shuts down very quickly

I love the gadgets you can have (world clocks etc) and the post it notes.

Now if I could only get it to remember my last used settings for each folder !

1138216 2010-09-19 03:46:00 I am going from XP to Win7 next week on a new PC. I will still have one PC on XP. Hope it doesn't confuse this old brain. LOL Pato (2463)

Actually I agree with you about the screen part - if you have 2 monitors......

But yes, Win7 is the first one since DOS I quite liked. Mostly.

1138221 2010-09-19 23:42:00 What was so flash about DOS FCS?...it was very limited in memory usage, no GUI, looked like crap for word processing and just about everything else, and wasnt easy to config! SolMiester (139)

Just wait until you get into the habit of using the search bar to find stuff instead of going to My Documents etc... so much faster!

Try it - hit the Windows key and just type in the name of a document you know you have somewhere, chances are Windows has already indexed it and it appears above, just one click away ;)

Works for programs too

Wow !

Thanks for that.
I was just used to using the search bar to look for help and accessories etc.

That is fantastic and will help me a lot
