| 1137990 | 2010-09-18 03:00:00 | Can anyone tell me how to cancel hyperthreading on an i7 DFI Lan Party motherboard. I can't find any mention of HT in bios Thanks, Jack |

| 1137994 | 2010-09-18 07:09:00 | All i7 CPUs have HTT. It should be in the BIOS, very unlikely DFI would make a BIOS that doesn't have that option. | qazwsxokmijn (102) | ||

| 1137996 | 2010-09-18 08:05:00 | It might be somewhere stupid - I found the option to turn on hardware enabled virtualisation extensions on my PC under "System Security" settings in the BIOS. | somebody (208) | ||

| 1137998 | 2010-09-19 00:04:00 | Why do you want to cancel it ? Some believe it lowers power consumption and therefore heat, as HTT only offers some improvement in a small amount of apps its seen as worthless unless you specifically use one of those apps of course. Personally I couldnt see a tangible thermal diff between on and off when testing so I just leave them on. |
