1139270 2010-09-24 00:24:00 Laptop with a non accessible install of linux on SDA2 and WXP on SDA1 also have access to an XP CD.(not the original install one tho)How can I safely delete the linux OS and recover the XP MBR. kjaada (253)
1139271 2010-09-24 01:21:00 Running the 'FIXMBR' tool from the recovery console should do the trick.

To remove Linux completely, just use any old partitioning tool to remove the partition, and then resize the XP partition back to fill the remaining available space. Make sure you use a tool that understands how to resize NTFS filesystems (gparted is a good one).

Will this just fix XP or linux as well?
I would like to reformat the linux partition and get back to one NTFS partition with XP still intact and booting (not my puter but my partners and I will be in all sorts of trouble if she finds I have been fiddling)
Code to enter in recovery console to "fixboot and fxmbr" ????
