| 1139175 | 2010-09-23 20:29:00 | This is how it all started, i have a HP Pavilion a1412n desktop and the computer started to take a long time to boot up so I ran HDD test and got error message HD521-2W which is telling me that the HDD is failing, so I when out and purchased a WD320gb HDD. Now when i tried to install windows XP I keep getting the message "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed". Do anyone have any advice or info | ybbob48 (15997) | ||

You'll have to get the SATA drivers, then extract them to floppy / or USB flash drive (if the system supports it), then press F6 when it says to press F6. Or slipstream them with Nlite Otherwise, you'll have to disable AHCI in the BIOS first, then install windows Was it running in RAID?? Looks like there's only RAID drivers for it h10025.www1.hp.com |
